I am Jason Patrick, a Postdoctoral Fellow in the Beckman Institute for Advanced Science and Technology at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign. My research lies in the realm of bio-inspired, multifunctional materials. I am particularly interested in creating novel fiber reinforced polymer composites, capable of synergistic self-sensing and self-healing, to improve the reliability and resilience of engineered structures.

I currently work in the Autonomous Materials Systems (AMS) research laboratories with Professors Nancy Sottos , Scott White , and Jeffrey Moore at the Beckman Institute.
